Chad Smith Ride for Life

We are honored to be sponsors at this year’s Chad Smith Ride for Life, a bike run started in 2008 to benefit Chad Smith, who was fighting Hodgkins Lymphoma. Before losing his battle with cancer on November 15, 2009, Chad had requested that the bike run continued and help families dealing with cancer in St. Michael/Albertville. The Annual Chad Smith Ride for Life is still going strong and has helped 18 families and raised over $460,000 since it started in 2008.

14th Annual Chad Smith Bike Run

Over the years, the Chad Smith Ride for Life has grown from the first ride having 156 bikes to an average of 425 bikes per year and an attendance of about 1,100 people for the dinner, live auction, and band. We are so excited that this year our kickstands will be going up for 2 recipients from the STMA area – Mike Segulia and Cloe Crayford.

Mike is an amazing guy, he just recently retired from the MPLS police department. Mike is married (Cindy) and has 2 daughters. Mike was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma in September of 2019. Cloe is a sweet little girl. She is 9 years old and attends Big Woods Elementary. In December of 2019, Cloe was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Both of these families need our help. Please come out and support these great families in their time of need. This will be our second year participating in the bike run, and you can too! Please visit the Chad Smith Ride for Life Facebook page to learn more about how you can participate.
